This Blog is about Billie Jo Jenkins who was aged
13 and was killed on the 15th of February 1997. She was in the back
garden of her foster parent’s house painting the patio. She was battered to
death with a 18 inch tent pole while alone. Her foster father Sion Jenkins was accused of murdering her. Sion Jenkins was appealing for help
and arrested 9 days later and put into prison for life sentence. He then did an
appeal in December 1999 which was failed as it didn't go to the House of Lords.
In July 2004 he did a second appeal and succeeds Jenkins is then released from
prison. In July 2005 the first retrial is finished and the jury can’t give a
verdict. Another retrial happens in October. Then in February 2006 the jury
still cannot agree on a verdict so Sion Jenkins is acquitted of murder.
